Stefan Purici is the manager of the P2 component project and is a scientific researcher at the Bukovina Institute of the Romanian Academy. After graduating from the Faculty of History (1989), he defended his doctoral thesis in the field of Bukovina history in 1994 and in 1995 he became a scientific researcher at the Bukovina Institute. During his career, he carried out several internships in the country and abroad. He worked as a project team member or coordinator in over 20 national and international grants. He is editor-in-chief or member of the editorial board of several specialized scientific magazines. The areas of scientific interest include the history, culture and civilization of Bukovina, the evolution of the nations in the Carpathian region in the 19th-21st centuries.
Marian Olaru is a researcher within the PORT Cultural project, scientific researcher II and director of the “Bukovina” Institute of the Romanian Academy in Rădăuţi. He graduated from the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the University of Bucharest in 1981 and obtained a PhD in History at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iasi in 2000. The main areas of competence are modern history and the history of Bukovina. He is an author and co-author of numerous books and studies, a member of the editorial board of the institute’s periodical, “Annals of Bucovina” and the coordinator of internal and international conferences organized by the Bukovina Institute.
Ovidiu Bâtă is a researcher within the PORT Cultural project and scientific researcher III at the “Bukovina” Institute of the Romanian Academy in Rădăuţi. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Geological and Geophysical Engineering at “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi (1986) and a Doctor of Geology (2006). His fields of interest are the history of exploitation of resources and the industrial and economic development of Bukovina. He is an author of books (in collaboration), studies and articles and participates in numerous internal and international scientific conferences organized by the institute or together with other research centres in the country and abroad.
Ştefăniţa-Mihaela Ungureanu is a researcher within the PORT Cultural project and scientific researcher III at the “Bukovina” Institute of the Romanian Academy in Rădăuţi. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Letters at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi (1999) (German and English language and literature). She has obtained a postgraduate diploma in German Culture in European Context (2000) and is now a PhD student of the “A. D. Xenopol” History Institute in Iasi. Areas of competence are the history of the German literature and press in Bukovina and translations from/into German. From 2018, she is the editorial secretary of the institute’s periodical, “Annals of Bukovina”.
Carol Mohr is a research assistant within the PORT Cultural project and a scientific researcher at the “Bukovina” Institute of the Romanian Academy in Rădăuţi. He is a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi (1991). He obtained a master’s degree in translation theory and practice (2007) and a PhD in philology (2013) at the „Ştefan cel Mare” University in Suceava. His fields of competence are linguistics of text and corpora, translatology, intercultural communication, German language, culture and civilization in Bukovina, philosophical anthropology. He publishes scientific studies and articles and has been a member of the research team in projects coordinated by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany. He also participated in other projects, such as TESS (Towards European Societal Sustainability), “Invest in People!” (a project funded through the Sectoral Operational Program for Human Resources Development 2007-2013, Priority Axis 5 “Promotion of Active Employment Measures”) and JOINT BUSINESS SUPPORT CENTER, Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova.
Cristian Alexandru Boghian is a PhD in History, having a Bachelor’s degree in History (valedictorian) as well as in Economics. Also, he has Master’s degree in International Relations after having attended a scholarship at “Karl-Franzens” University in Graz, Austria. He participated at a series of international and national scientific conferences and has published many articles (some ISI certified) in scientific journals. His doctoral thesis was published at „Cetatea de Scaun” Publishing House from Târgoviște, with the title „Politică și economie în România Interbelică” (Politics and economis in interwar Romania). Presently, he is a researcher at the Romanian Academy Institute „Bucovina”.
